What’s the number one thing a person can bring with them to a hotel to help their hotel room feel like home? If you answered “their pillow,” you got it right!
Pillows and/or Pillowcases
Even if you don’t bring your own pillow to a hotel, you can always pack and then use your own pillowcases. There’s just something familiar about pillows and pillowcases– after all, you use them every night of your life. So why not bring ‘em along when you travel to places like Maine and stay at the Travelers Inn in Brunswick?
Slippers
After pillows, the second thing people bring to make their hotel room feel like home would be… slippers for their feet. Slippers are a nice addition to a room which may or may not have carpeted floors. Plus, they’re comfy and help you feel relaxed after a long day on the road and/or being a tourist, walking around town.
Aromas
Do you have a favorite fragrance? If so, bring it with you to remind you of home. Maybe it’s a bottle of Febreze for the bathroom, or it’s a certain soap that you love the smell of, or perhaps it’s a portable aromatherapy diffuser. If you want to purify the air, bring something scented to remind you of your home.
Beverages and Foods for the Soul
When you wake up in the morning, and you’re away from home, you might like to have your favorite drink or food if possible. Say, for instance, every morning you drink a certain juice. Why not pack it with you so you’ll have it each morning of your hotel stay? And bring some of your favorite snacks that you might not be able to get at the stores in the town where you stay.
All in all, you’ll want to bring things from home to remind you of home. Oh, and one more “thing…” Everyone has their “thing,” which could be a special teddy bear, alarm clock, blanket or toiletry. Whatever your “thing” is that you love having around you/using/holding/hearing/etc., that’s the “thing” to bring with you for your hotel stay at Travelers Inn in Brunswick, Maine!
